(March 3, 2026) – Welcome to Music Jeopardy 42! It’s the weekly music challenge where the blog provides the clues… and you provide the responses. Each clue has point values — no dollars! The player(s) with the most points gets bragging rights.
Last week, our Black Music History themed clues had five respondents with three achieving a perfect score. How will this week’s players fare?
This round’s category — “Country Music Hall of Fame Plaques” — was inspired by my recent visit to that hallowed institution during a trip through Nashville last month. Each clue quotes a plaque commemorating a Hall of Fame inductee. You simply need to guess the country music legend it’s describing.
Think you know your country icons? There’s only one way to find out: read on!
You can post your responses in the “Your Thoughts” box below (they’ll be withheld from view until the contest closes), DM me on social media, or email me. Please don’t be that person who posts answers publicly on social media and spoils it for everyone. And, if you’re sending an anonymous comment, please remember to include a name or alias so we can give proper credit.
All correct entries will be recognized in the next Music Jeopardy! post. The prize, as always: eternal bragging rights.
Below are this week’s five clues plus four bonuses — an extra one this week with total potential of 10,000 points! Answers to last puzzle’s MJ41 (“Black Music History”) are at the end, along with that week’s winners. This week’s contest closes at 11:59 pm on Monday, March 9, 2026.
