(July 1, 2025).  June 2025 was a tough one for the music world.  It was the kind of month that had music historians busy while fans reached for both the tissues and the turntable… or in this case, their favorite streaming service.

In the span of weeks, the rock, pop and R&B worlds lost several legends — all of whom helped define the sound and spirit of the 1960s, ‘70s and ‘80s.  Six of those acts were either 81 or 82 years old at the time of their passing and they are the primary subjects of Music Jeopardy 16!

Each man left behind a different kind of legacy—some funky, some fragile, some teen-idol polished, and all unforgettable.  More uncannily, these acts’ careers intersected in ways that only a true lover of rock and roll trivia could appreciate.

DJROBBLOG focused on those connections in coming up with this edition’s clues.  Of course, the blog provides the clues, you provide the responses AND define the mystery category to which they all belong (I’ve pretty much given the latter part away already).

Make your guesses by providing your responses in the “Your Thoughts” box at the bottom of the article, email or DM me on any of the social media platforms where this is posted.  You can also post your answers publicly, but that is not encouraged as we don’t want to spoil it for others.  All correct entries will be acknowledged in the next Music Jeopardy, but the most clever category title will win the prize, which is absolutely nothing but bragging rights!
