(May 5, 2026) – Welcome to Music Jeopardy 51! It’s the weekly music challenge where the blog provides the clues… and you provide the responses. Each clue has point values — no dollars! The player(s) with the most points gets bragging rights.
Last week, our “A 50/50 Scenario” theme had seven respondents — four of whom achieved a perfect score! How will this week’s players fare? Keep reading!
This round’s category — “Número Uno el Cinco de Mayo” — is a commemoration of today’s holiday. We provide clues about songs that were No. 1 on charts with today’s date on them, you guess the correct responses. Interestingly, while the holiday commemorates a war victory, all these songs in one way or another seem to focus on the theme of reconciliation… and the clues represent eight of only nine songs that occupied the No. 1 position on charts specifically dated May 5.
